How to activate Energy Saver in Google Chrome
All you have to do is go to the settings by pressing the (⁝) button at the top left (or right, if the browser language is Arabic) and select “Settings,” and then from the side menu, go to the “Performance” section. Alternatively, type [chrome://settings/performance] in the address bar and hit Enter. You can activate the feature on the page that will appear in front of you by pressing the button next to the Energy Saver mode option. Through the same page, you can also choose whether you want the browser to use this mode only when the battery charge level drops to 20% or less or activate the way when the laptop is disconnected from the charger and relying on the battery.
Anyway, when the mod is turned on, an icon will appear in the address bar to confirm this, and by clicking on it, you can disable the mod if you don’t need it right now. That is all there is to it! You can confirm the effect of Energy Saver mode in Google Chrome by playing any video clip on YouTube, then right-clicking anywhere on the player and selecting “States for nerds” to display a transparent window showing some video playback statistics. Suppose you look at the Viewport / Frames part. In that case, You will notice the “frame drop” phenomenon while activating the battery saving mode, as Google Chrome does not consume the computer’s processor enough to keep up with the data transfer rate.
